These Kids Will Change Your Life

It has been a while since I have posted anything. Now, though, I want to write a little bit about my student teaching experiences. One word can sum it all up.....INCREDIBLE!! Thornton Elementary has really opened up to me as their student teacher. Every single person in that school has come up to me with open arms. I have subbed three days so far and during each of those days, a teacher has come in just to check up on me. I really feel like God put me in this school because He knows how amazing the teachers are how comfortable they would make me feel. He was really looking after me when he put me at Thornton. What a great God I serve! I was so nervous going into student teaching, not knowing exactly what to expect. However, from the moment I walked into Mrs. Pulliam's classroom, all my nerves were calmed. Mrs. Pulliam is the best, most amazing cooperating teacher that I could ever have been put with. She has been so incredibly helpful during this whole student teaching process. We spend many afternoons together planning and organizing the room, but also just laughing and having a good time. Being in her classroom, I feel that I have learned so much more than I ever thought I would. Yes, I learned a lot in classes from ASU, but actually being in the classroom like this has really opened up my eyes. And the diversity! Wow! This school is so diverse, and I LOVE it! And I can't even begin to thank Mrs. Brown enough for everything she has done for me. From her encouraging words, her kisses and her hugs, I really feel loved by these people. All my of students and the teachers and staff at Thornton Elementary truly have a place in my heart.
